me and the wife have the serene, good field of view, a bit big on the volume size, but overall a good mask. i've got another mask that i use now, and have no problems grabbing the tusa, good masks, good priced. Only problem we've noticed is that the rubber tends to yellow quickly, we always wash our gear when we get hom, and still can't keep them from yellowing. so that's my opinion. The visualator, is ENORMOUS, it was just too big, it just about covers your whole face.

I have the Serene and the M-24. IMO, both are very good mask, good field of vision, the Tusa masks are the only ones I have found that don't leak on me. That 5 position strap thingy works well.
I have not tried the Visulator so I cannot offer an opinion there.

My wife has a pink tusa mask and the silicon is turning brown or yellowish color. and the pink is also fading along with her pink snorkel is now very dull. so a new mask and snorkel is under the tree. cant have faded gear that works perfectly fine now can we.

I have a Tusa (Visualator?) and a Mares X-vision. I like the X-vision better when it doesn't leak. It leaks more often than the Tusa. I think the difference is in the pliability of the skirt. If I don't shave before I dive my Mares will leak.

Tusa masks are good. My first lasted me about 17 years. I still have it, and it works fine, although it's very yellowed and has a small tear in the skirt that was repaired with aquarium sealant.
Any silicon mask will yellow if it is stored with neoprene and other black rubber products. It's the natural oils in the rubber that cause it. Ditto for things stored in a garage, etc. It's cosmetic, but I dislike the look. If you choose your mask in a black (or otherwise opaque) skirt version, it won't have this problem. |
