Too bad none of the lds around here will let you try the mask on in the pool. I've had to buy them, bring them to try out in my pool and hope that if I don't like them they will let me do an exchange.

Some have let me do that and some say once you get it wet, it's yours!

Can I come to your pool to try them out?

Absolutely!! Just make sure you bring your wetsuit if it's in the winter and check to make sure I'm home. :-)

Yup, this is my situation also. It's also Leisure Pros mentality (sorry Joe and Larry for uttering the evil word!).

It's my understanding that Leisure Pro will let you return items if it's not a good fit.... but maybe that's only if you don't get them wet.... but then, how would they know if you tried on a mask in the pool???

It must be different in the states. But alot od LDS have their most popular (not all) masks available as a demo. Its important to try as many as you can on and get a good feel for what you like.
There has been issues with mares X-vision mask having weak frames (been posted many times). If they only had a stronger frame. Cressi-sub matrix is similar in shape to the X-vision and of the same quality. I personally have the Tusa m-14 as I have a boof head and it fits me great.

I tried to return a mask I had bought for my girfriend. LP gave me the spannish inquisition about if I had used it or not. It had to be "as new" for them to take it back (it had 1 pool dive). This, combined with a few other "lowsy service incidents", peaved me off and is what pushed me over to try Scubatoys... I now consider myself lucky to have has lowsy service from LP! Or I still probably wouldn't be a ST customer!!

Cheers!

I have been using a Scubapro Mask, but recently changed to a Atomic. They have a new style out with the optically clear glass that I think is definitely worth looking at. I think it is great.
