Omer Alien

Anyone own or dive an omer alien mask. I have been wanting to get a new back up and one with an opaque skirt and low profile for freediving (my primary is clear). It's relatively inexpensive at like 48 or something ?

In reading other posts from the other board I post on... people complain about fogging. Also I own a tusa that I like very much but its a clear skirted mask. I need one thats a black or dark skirted mask to block out distractions and the exclusive is pretty cool with the mirrored lens. want to use exclusively for free diving but may use for scuba if I fall in love with it. do you have probs with leaking. Is the skirt super supple or have a little firmness ? I owned the mares liquiskin and hated it. Couldn't get a good seal to save my life. How does yours work for you ?

I know over at SB, it was recommended by a lot of people as a good mask for people with narrow faces.

The Alien is more solid and the skirt is much less flimsy then the liquidskin. I have no problems with fogging and think that is a personal problem. If you have a Divers Direct in your area - stop in one - they usually have the them - in the mirrored version as well.

I have a small head, I had the X-Vision Mid, didn't work for me and in hope of the X-Vision Liquidskin will wrap around better, it didn't fit well and leaked when I get to around 10 ft.

Desperately looking for a new mask, I tried on the Omer Alien under recommendation of the dive shop sales, and to my surprise, it actually does fit like a glove! The skirt is so soft, I'd dare say it's even softer and thinner than the Liquidskin. Unfortunately I've made a purchase on the Atomic Subframe the day before. But if I can sell my Mid, I'd get the Alien as my backup!

Hmm I would caution you against the reflective outside for me and my buddies your eyes tell sooo much and play a very big role in body language you dont have the luxiory of speach underwater this I think takes away from the body language that you do have.
