I'm interested in seeing how the Scubatoys readers feel on this. I posted the same poll on a different forum and it has 225 voters so far. To not bias the results here, I won't give the numbers. I realize the readership overlaps quite a bit....

It's absolutely not needed for where or how I dive.

I do and will probably continue to here, when I am blue water as opposed to brown water diving I dont though.

Have an Oceanic Pocket in my BC then.

So many options that fit me... I carry my snorkel for some dives, leave it for others. Hopefully my LDS will get my Snap Snorkel in soon.... Stick it in the pocket and you're "good to go".

I carry it in my dive bag and will use it if the water is rough but so far it just sits in the bag.

I hate snorkels. They get in the way and are uncomfortable. if I am having trouble breathing ont he surface i just use my regulator.

Outside of classes, I never used one. I've always swam on my back for surface swims.

I used to, out of habit more than anything else, but on the last dive trip it annoyed me enough to finally take it off and live it in the dive bag
