Well...I dived with them yesterday at Catalina. I frog kicked along the rocks at Red Rock Quarry and along the wall at Eel Cove.

They moved me along rather nicely and quite comfortably, too.

I'm not real crazy about the 'power bands' idea. As time wears on them, won't the bands stretch. Eventually, won't you have to replace the bands?

I purchased the slingshots about 2 months, ago and dove them about 15 dives. I will agree that the frog kick is not very effective, but a small flick moves me along rather well. Over all they are comfortable and fast. The foot pocket is very deep and a little wide so make sure to take your boots along to the LDS to get a proper fit

Yes the bands will have to be replaced--but after how long? A year, two or three? I've got 40 dives on mine and all the pool time with O/W students. If they break they are covered under warranty. I'm not worried about it, I just see this as an upkeep cost.
I do know this I have not dove a faster more comfortable fin. That said I can't wait for Scuba Labs Test report.

Woah.. Didn't know you could adjust them..

They are still a wee bit expensive compared to Bios or Xpert Zooms

So can you basically make it very stiff for technical moves one day and then the next loosen it so its easy to flutter kick around?
