Not a problem! I dive for oysters under the Piankitank River Bridge in Middlesex County/Mathews for the same reason...and the oysters taste good. Of course, it's shallow and low vis but hey, it's diving....
We also do the drive to Nags Head several times a year for the Triangle Wrecks. But I guess when you can dive with Lynnhaven for $75 to the shallow wrecks, it becomes more cost effective to do that with today's gas prices...

Under the Route 3 bridge leaving Mathews and going into Middlesex. There's a access point on the Middlesex side. Oysters are plentiful on the bridge pilings.

New here, but use to dive a lot in the Bay years ago. I'd be up for a shore dive for oysters, uh ... provided someone knows where they are!

MDDIVER, bubble-head, warscout2 and MondoSubmerso,

I'm game for the bay dives, so add me to your buddy lists and keep in touch.

It's hunting season for me right now, my hobbies change as the seasons change.

Anybody like to snow ski? It won't be too long before the slopes are running again.

When the '09 dive season hits keep me in mind, I'm always up for a dive.
