There are I think 3 lines that lead downwards and tie off on tree's. Two of them are thick and one is a thin one. I've never seen the plate but I have looked for it. I'd think it's still there because who would want to remove it? But, then who would have thought the tool truck would have been moved from it's spot? There are all kinds of divers out there.

Diving from the Dewey Short stairs, head down and go right at around a 45 deg angle. There is a stump that at normal water level is around 25 ft, then it has a good size rope tied to it...follow that down which will take you above some rock bluffs and then you start to see the bottom and the rock walls (in good viz), then it's tied off onto a tree at around 80 ft (normal water level)...look about 10 ft away from shore and you should see the plate frame around a tree...which has about 10 ft or more of tree above where the frame sits, so if it's gone, someone would have to have taken it off intentionally, which is perfectly fine by us! Just thought it's fun to put those down there for people to look at!
Our video pretty much explains the underwater part of it, which is here: http://www.lakediver.com/videos/tablerockvid.wmv When I get back to Table Rock, I will definitely look for it first dive! That was almost 2 yrs ago when we put it down there! Bugg |
