Oronogo 2008 Season Opening Dive

I exchanged e-mail with John today. Oronogo will open the first Saturday and Sunday in April. However, that Saturday is the day of my son's First Communion.

I am looking at Sunday April 6th as a day to get together and dive. I can make any arrangements you all might need. I am think it would be a great day to get folks from the area together to dive, grill, and get some face to face and bubble blowing time.

I do not have my April work schedule yet, but am fairly certain of that day off.

Ideas? Questions? Comments?

When is the Norfolk dive, exactly? So as not to conflict.

I believe it's scheduled for the first weekend in April (Norfork).

Yup, same general date. I thought maybe you might be there as well. It doesn't make a big difference I suppose as there's more than enough divers around to do both sets of dives.

Smile

Would anyone be doing deep 'mix' diving on this gathering?

It is about 54-57 degrees at depth all year 'round.

The surface and the first 10 feet are likely to be in the 60s to low 70s. Naturally, the thermocline is higher at the beginning of the season than in august.

As for "mix" diving-there may be one or 2 guys up for a trimix dive. There was one guy on trimix on New Year's Day.

Was it Charley? I know he likes to make Oronogo his New Years dive and used Trimix when he does.
