Carter lake is the only spot in CO I've dove. I see a lot of CO divers down at Blue Hole in Santa Rosa NM, seems that's the best water usually. a High Alt dive at 4700' ASL but not bad for a few dives.

Aurora Reservoir has a dedicated dive area with a submerged small plane (Beechcraft?) It's ok to get wet but visibility is usually poor, less than 8 feet and the temps are usually around 60 degrees. Here 's a webpage w/ some info:

Places to Dive in Colorado

I was down at Blue Hole, NM 0613-061409 for AOW, definitely nicer diving but it's a haul from Colorado...

Thanks, I think I may try out Horetooth Reservoir, but Im sure the visibility will be poor no matter where I dive around here. I do plan on checking out the blue hole this summer and mabye get some specialty courses in. Any way that will have to hold me till I can get to some warm water on vacation!!
