I'm interested in doing a minor upgrade to my Fuji F11 to something like this so i can have the benefits of a strobe..Has anyone tried this product or can shed some light on how this compares with other single strobe setups (for Compact Digitals). Can i do Wide Angle Shots or can i only do Macro?

I had the strobe and it worked great when using in general shots. However, for wide angle, you might want to consider the YS-110 as that has more power then the SL961D. The SL961D is not at all a bad strobe, but for wide angle pictures, the YS-110 is ideal for that job.
