Dive Rite Econo Knife
With today's rules of no large knives at most of the top dive detonations the Dive Rite Econo Dive Knife is the perfect solution. a lot for the cave and tech guys out there only need a small knife so they could mount it on their forearm to cut guidelines in case of an entanglement. The Dive Rite Econo Dive Knife is used by DIR enthusiasts due to its multi-purpose simplicity. It is serrated on one side with a blunt tip that can be used to pry or as a screwdiver. Sheath mounts on 2-inch (25.4mm) webbing. (more..)More... |

Yea... that's how it's supposed to be. It does look like a steak knife someone snapped off - but hey... it's under 4 bucks and comes with the little holder that has the dive rite logo! That alone is worth the price of admission.

I carry one on my BP/W. The TRUE DIR guys actually make them by hand by snapping the blade off a steak knife and making a sheath from 2-inch webbing.
At that price, I am buying two today. My twelve-year-old nephew wants to get into diving. I'll tell him I'll buy his first knife when he graduates from OW (from ST, of course). Then, at graduation, I'll present him with one of these. Won't he be pleased...
