They are just starting to ship.. we are just getting some of the one size they have now... others will follow. If you need a different size, you can always call us up, and we can put your name on a waiting list for the other sizes.

The TDS thread CD posted said the originals were neutral in salt water, but indicated the production models would be made from a slightly different material.
Do you know or has Nick published the buoyancy charateristics of these?
Thanks

I dived with my Hollis F1 fins i bought from ST today. They are made out of heavy duty rubberished material and they have a negative buoyancy.

I am very impressed with the fins as they fitted very well and I didnt need any time to get use to the different feel of them. The first time use they felt like I have been diving with them for years.

They are well made and I believe that they will last for many years to come.

The only down side is their weight. If travelling I think I would have to look at other fins as the F1 are heavy.

I recommend them to anyone looking at a new fin or a fin to replace an old favourite like SP jets.

Thanks for the review, Aussie. Do you know how the Hollis foot pocket compares to a Jet Fin in the same size?

I havnt a jet fin to compare with it. But my size 12 henderson instra-dry boot had plenty of room and I think it could handle a larger boot easierly. Its it bigger than the Aqualung Blade II fins I normally use.

If I was using a drysuit built in boots i would be looking at the XXL F1 to handle it.

Regards Mark
