Nice price! You don't happen to have any deals for the Camera Only (no housing)? Or used DC600s? The reason I ask is I recently flooded my DC600 and as you can imagine it is no longer working. FYI, my housing is fine. The only reason it flooded is b/c I had the camera's wrist strap sticking out of the housing causing it to not seal.

Find out who makes the camera for SeaLife and look at it's equivalent model. When I flooded a DC310 years ago, SeaLife wanted $150 for a replacement. I discovered it was a branded Vivitar model and bought a used Vivitar for $25. It worked fine with the housing, just didn't have the pre-configured underwater settings.

Now I feel like an idiot. I can't believe I didn't think of that. I just happen to be at my office right now doing some catching up on emails and whatnot, and your post reminded me of a co-workers digital camera that I once thought looked an awful lot like my DC600. After reading your post I decided to walk over to his office and see if it was laying out in plain sight. Sure enough, it was on his desk. It is an EXACT match. Judging by the writing on the front of the camera, it appears to be a Vivitar ViviCam 6330s Digital Camera. And I just found some online info here: Vivitar ViviCam 6330s Reviews

Looks like this might be the way to go. Like you said, I won't have underwater settings, but I don't know how much of a difference that will make. Opinions?

BTW, what are the odds that a co-worker in the office next to me would have the same land (non-H2O) version of the camera I need?

Wow, that's some luck right there!

Go buy a lotto ticket

As far as the underwater settings go... They suck. So, you're not missing out on anything.

Or maybe more people will decide to purchase the DC600 package if they know that if/when they flood it they can easily get a replacement camera.

Knowledge is power.

I thought the same thing when I read the thread. I would have SURELY purchased one had I known that. Especially at this price.

You need to always remove the wrist strap before putting the camera in the housing. Even if you believe you can fit it inside, it was not designed to stay on the camera when in the housing.
