Virginia and New Jersey in May

I'm going on a roller coaster trip on the last week of May and will be staying just outside Washington D.C. I'm possibly taking two days in New Jersey to be able to take in Six Flags Great Adventure along with Morey's Piers on the ocean shore and possibly some of the other seaside parks in the area. I'd like to break it up with a little bit of diving but have no idea where to start looking or what the waters are even like in that area.

Any recommendations close to D.C. or on the south shore of Jersey? I don't have a drysuit, just a 7mm wetsuit, so keep that in mind when suggesting.

For some good Jersey wreck diving contact the guys at http://www.njwreckdivers.com/.

They are located just outside Atlantic City.

diving in the Atlantic is not like diving in the Caribbean or in a lake/quarry, no matter what courses you have taken-keep that in mind before you turn into a statistic

there is really no local diving to DC unless you want to dive in lakes/quarries, the closest thing to DC is Milbrook Quarry in Manassas/Haymarket VA but why travel to dive a quarry ?

Other then that you can try Ocean City, MD

You could also try East Coast diving in Northfield NJ. They're a PADI dive center very laid back and easy going.
