Philadelphia Diving

Anyone know of any diving around Philly? I'm going to be moving there in about a month and was just curious if there were any opportunities to dive there or not.

Dutch Springs is the most popular lake in the area - about an hour or so away, near Allentown...basically a nice scuba park, with lots of underwater attractions: www.dutchsprings.com

and a lot of shops run charters out of Belmar, NJ.

You may want to surf over to http://www.wreckvalley.com/ for more dialog on diving in the PA/NJ/NYC/CT areas.

Thanks for the question. My folks still live in Cherry Hill, NJ outside of Philly where I was born and raised. I never thought about going home to visit my folks and go dive. I currently live in Los Angeles.

yeah...Dutch is the closest to the Philly area...a little more driving will take you to the Bainbridge Sportsmens Club (www.divebsc.com) Not quite as nice viz and attraction wise, but another choice. (and it's 20 minutes from my house so it's all I got weekly!)
