If the visibility isn't but 20' and the bottom is at 75', he won't see much of anything, except of course the divers around him
![]() If your referring to what will he experience, most likely the same thing he experiences at 20'. At 50' his wetsuit will be compressed more so he will be heavier, which will require more air in his BC to keep him neutral. Buoyancy should be the first thing on his mind at this point. |

![]() ![]() So if he is doing his OW checkout's he'll be doing little but practicing skills he learned, so he'll be hyper but really won't have much to share in the ways of 'diving'. Diving to 60' is a lot like 20 - 30' visibly.. just uhmm.. wet and deeper? |

that is true...
especially for us here in Florida. there is very few reasons to go deeper than 40-50 feet. you can see tons of great reefs and even wrecks at 30-60 feet... you husband will be tired, because diving makes people tired. and at 50' deep... he can expect about a 50' swim to the surface... should take just about 2 minutes at the right rate. and since it is check out dives, he might even be bored a bit, much like i was. |

I can remember my OW dives. I thought, man I don't need to go any deeper than 40', we ended up at 40'. Then it was 60'. About two weeks later a DM buddy of mine wanted to do the 80' platform, so we did it. Now I have been to 100+ several times.
Your hubby will be tired but happy when he sees all the gear that you have for him. |
