Tusa RS130 Vs. Mares MR12 Rebel?

I am looking to get one of these regulators due to the fact that they are relatively cheap and that i am on a super tight budget.
I was about ready to buy the Mares MR12 but then somebody told me to look into the Tusa RS-130 which is about the same price...

I am going to be diving southern california waters (about 52 degrees right now) and will be doing purely rec diving.

Anybody who has used either of these or can give me detailed pros or cons for either would be a great help.

Thanks guys.

I dive the RS-130 as do many others here. It's a really solid, balanced regulator. Has a adjustment on it for ease of breathing. It has performed flawlessly for me. I bought it on the recommendation of the guys at ScubaToys. They speak highly of it for recreational diving. So far, I have been pleased with it and would definitely recommend it.

I'm not familiar with the Mares.

On Joe's advice I got the MR12 because I dive lakes and cool water. It is a diaphram 1st stage vrs. a Piston. Have not goten it wet yet so can't tell you how I like it.

At the recommendation of Joe I bought one of the Tusa RS-130 regs for a backup and for my sons to use when they dive with me. Its a really smooth breathing reg and I never got any water in when using it,... even inverted. Ive only used it a couple of times but my son has used it several times and loves it. I havent used it deeper than 40ft but at that depth it seemed in my opinion to be just as smooth as my Atomic ST-1. I dont know how it performs at much deeper depths but I feel it actually breaths smoother than the scuba pro regs that I got certified on.

I've been down to 85' with my RS-130 and it performed great.

My question: How does the Tusa RS-130 perform in temperatures in the upper 40's ?
I will mostly dive in Monterey or places with higher temps.
