The regs will come completely assembled and tested for you. It would still be a good idea to do a test dive in a pool or controlled environment before going on any big trips though

What Will said.

They will come assembled but check and make sure the hoses are coming from your preferred ports depending on your hose routing and always check your gear "post servicing" before challenging the abyss.

My last set of regs from ST came the day I was leaving for a dive trip. I threw the unopened UPS box in the dive bag and headed out. Opened them at the site and was good to go.

I've bought 3 regs from ST. Took 'em straight out of the box and got 'em wet; no problems.

Love your avatar, Coyote. As if we didn't have enough to worry about underwater

Thatīs the way it should work and thatīs the way it usually works, whether you buy from Scubatoys or a reliable LDS. But things happen once in a while and itīs a whole lot easier to sort them out before you set off on your trip than it is on the dive boat. It makes good practice to give your equipment a checkout right after purchase or servicing, before taking off on that expensive dive trip.
