Atomic ST1

wow... just saw one of these at my dive shop (they just got it in,and sold it to an OW student on his first day of class)
that thing is serious!!
the 1st stage is said to be all SS... and you feel it in the weight.
im still in love with the swivel on the hose (if the damn thing wasn't so expensive!!)

the 1st stage swivels as well...
very nice design, very heavy and solid, very pricey!

you can purchase a swivel for your reg but you may be surprised what a different mouthpiece will do. I for one love the comfo-bite mouth piece and I no longer feel the "pull" with my proton reg.

Couldn't find the swivel on ST but here is a link

You can get the hose assembly with the swivel. But you can't buy just the swivel from Atomic. I think the price for the hose & swivel is about $80, but I'm not exactly sure.
I believe someone makes just the swivel assembly, but I'm not sure who it is. I'm not talking about the cheap ones that you can take apart. But 1 very similar to the Atomic.

Those fill prices don't seem too far out of the norm. Other than the additional charge for 100's. The amount of O2 from an 80 to a 100 is minimal. But I guess they probably are competetive for your area. My LDS charges about the same, but there is no up charge for larger tanks. It's the price we pay for fun.

yeah... it's worth it i guess..
there is another shop thats a bit cheaper... but too far out of my way.
my LDS is like 10 minutes from my house... but a bit pricey... (other than wetsuits, and bags and misc. stuff)
but for masks, fins, Bc's etc (big items) they are pricey
