gear and BCD packages for under $1000 - help needed

Hi

I am a newbie and just placed my order for just under $1000 US shipped to Sydney. I LOVE scubatoys Got all the gear today. i will be doing my advanced open water and a BCD in AUS is about $1000 for rubbish.

Now what is a good reg and BCD setup for under $1000 ( $999 is okay, it is all about AUS import tax)

I will be diving in Sydney and prefer a system with international support (and maybe warranty too????)

I do like the

Scuba Packages, BC & Regulator Packages Dive Systems

Everything is Special Zeagle and Tusa Package $1150

or should I consider

Kickin Aeris & Zeagle Package Brigade - Ranger/Escape Hybrid $995

or

The mares Sports package at the top of the page.

Please help

The all Zeagle and Tusa computer package looks like what I'd get. I have never tried the ZX-50D but was considering getting it. I'm not too familiar with Tusa computer though.

The Zeagle-hands down. It worth a little extra for the right gear you wont think about replacing in a few years.

ScubaToys will be happy to build you as custom package as well and, based on my admittedly limited experience (bought a package a few weeks ago) will give a fantastic price. Email Joe at info@scubatoys.com letting him know exactly what you want and he'll ping you back a quote. My package looked nothing like the "pre-selected" packages offered because I wanted custom hose lenghts (and miflex), and I had no need for a computer, compass, etc. The entire experience on putting it all together, getting a quote, and having it sent out was great! An order for my wife's package will go in sometime ion the next few weeks.

I agree with Catt99. You should email them and work out a custom package. For instance, I would go with a wrist computer as opposed to the console. At any rate, figure out what you like and email them to get a quote.

definately work out your very own custom package, but have some ideas going into the discussion. ALL of the BC's, REG's and COMPUTERS on this site will be quality. Spend some time really thinking about how you wear your BC and what you want in a computer, with those ideas in mind, STs can guide you through the best choices in your price range.

Tell me about Customs!!!

Hi Guys,

I finally got my package deal from ST. Got a great deal even with the customs fees.. grrrr. The package deal I was offered over here was entry level things that I would out grew within 6 months. Was $300 less than what I got from ST. ( This was including the customs taxes) The gear I got from ST would of grow with me.
