Is it ok to soak Reg with Aqualung ACD or Oceanic DVT?

Hi,

I have an Aqualung Legend ACD, when cleaning the regulator I thought with the ACD it will be safe to soak the whole reg in fresh water...
I have done this a few times and my reg is still working well.
However, recently I start to worry about this practice and I would like to get some advise from others about this.

What do you think? Have I done something that will break the reg?

Thanks in advance...

Ken

Just to verify, you do soak them with the cap on the first stage, correct?

The ACD is designed to keep water out so you should be OK. I would put the dust cover on anywhere though. What's the manual say about rinsing the reg.

When I bought the Legend it was without the ACD.
I added the ACD after it was released so I do not have the manual...
I will download the manual and see what it says...

Thanks for the advise.
I'll remember the put the cap on in the future...
Will also check with the service tech the next time I service the reg.

if you still have a somewhat charged tank with you, its is not a bad idea to hook your regs up to the tank while you are rinseing them.

The guys at the LDS recommend to soak with the dust cap on...however they also say that its a just in case if you forgot type of thing. In other words rinse it with the dust cap and if you forget no big deal. But dont make it a habit
