Zeagle Flathead VI

I have been using Oceanic and Aeris regs for a while. I have a change to pick up a lightly used Zeagle Flathead VI for a pretty good price. My Aeris is the two month old Aeris AT400 Pro. Is the Zeagle that much better? Do mostly warm water dives in the Pacific.

It's an excellent reg. Probably overkill for what you're doing, so more than adequate.

That's a hard question to answer. The Aeris looks like a perfectly fine reg (I haven't used one, just read the specs) and you might not want to change if it's working fine for you.

On the other hand, buying new gear, especially for a nice price, is fun. It's useful to have an extra reg around, divers like to try out new gear, and so on...

Before you buy a used one for a "good" price, double-check the new prices on ScubaToys for comparison purposes. The Flathead VI is discontinued and they have a killer deal going right now.

My husband dives a Flathead VI and absolutely loves it. We also dive warm thus the environmental seal is probably overkill, but it's a great reg and extremely reliable.

Thanks all, I'll stick with what I have for now. Sounds like maybe down the road if I get more involved in diving.
