need help

Does anybody know if they make a yoke to din conversion
for the scubamax regulators? My problem is that I recently purchased a
Pressed Steel 120 cu ft tank that has the 7/8 tread which is a din 300 valve
From what I see, my only options are to convert my yoke to din or but a new first stage. Scubmax seems to have a conversion, but apparently it's only DIN 200. Does any other brand make one that would fit, since alot of regs are made by the same company?

Or why could you not just cut off two of the threads from a din 300 valve so a din 200 could fit?

I do not know that there is a 200 bar or 300 din connection on the reg side. Any din conversion should fit into a 200 or 300 bar DIN tank valve. I have several scubamax regs. I switched one of them to DIN from yoke while the other I bought with DIN. I use them on a 300 bar manifold on my doubles.

Talk to Dive Sports, they sell scubamax and can answer any questions you have. If you are a scubaboad memeber you can PM Phil Ellis. Nice guy as is anyone else that I have talked with at his shop...

It is a pretty easy conversion to do yourself, it you want to. A tourque wrench would be a good idea though...

You can buy a pro valve for your tank they have a insert that lets you use a Yoke set up or you can take it out with an allen wrench and use a DIN reg. I like the one I have but I do not dive a DIN reg.

hmm never heard of a 200 bar connection on the reg side, but if that were the case a 200 bar din reg would not fit on a 300 bar din valve because the reg would simply be to short to create a seal, Id say call divesports and ask

We are a scubamax dealer - just don't sell many of their regs, but if you give a call on Monday and talk to Joey, he can get you set up.
