Parts to service that older G250 should run $15 to $25 depending on whether it already has the current S-wing poppet which is no longer included in the service kit. Labor should be in the same range.
So how about putting more accurate numbers on the costs you are looking at. I am not a fan of the Scubapro parts-for-life program as it is conditioned on having mostly unnecessary annuals services performed where you will be paying the labor charges. But if that used reg is just a little under $100 and the new G250V is around $150 then the new reg would probably be the better buy.

Thanks for the reply, In the time since I posted this I won a g250 off of ebay for 95 buck, when I got it home and hooked it up it free-flowed like hell. I sent it in to scubatoys for service (which is excellent by the way) the total bill is over 150 now
I had no clue that you could get a g250v for 150 (are you sure on that price?). The plus side is that cosmetically it matched the other g250 that I use (lame!). |
