regulator bags are small?

I've got two regulator bags. Both were included with luggage that I bought... and both just barely will contain a regulator and protect it. One bag, I can't really zip up all the way...

Why do they make these things just a "tiny" bit too small?! Another inch thicker, and maybe another inch larger all the way around, and they would be perfect.

I agree that they are too small. I actually use the one that I have to keep my 12w can light it. It works much better for that, than any of my regs....

I have one and it was so impractical and small it made no sense. I would never leave my reg. coiled that tight. It's not a great place to put your regulator after you're done with a dive either. The fabric soaked up the water from the reg so then you needed to dry the bag as well. It looked really nice however! I should put it on eBay.

After a dive, I loosely wrap my wetsuit around my reg then place both into my mesh dive bag. Then place the dive bag in my car inside a $5 rubbermaid tub.

I use an Akona regulator bag. It is messenger/laptop style bag. It will fit two complete reg setups in it. It has a shoulder strap or will convert to a backpack. It is great for traveling and carrying on the plane. It is an older version of this: Welcome to AKONA Adventure Gear!

Wow that's a big bag! Do you carry that with you on the boat or a local dive site in addition to your dive gear bag?

The ST Reg bag is perfect for my regulator. It is designed to easily hold the hose without tight bends and has velcro loop attachment to hold the hose.

I use my DR Reg bag for my fishing license, camera and waterproof case, sunblock, chapstick and decongestants.

I use it for air travel & storage at home. It is great for travel because I can fit the wifes and my regs in it. and in the front pocket: travel docs and reading materal. When I go to the boat I put every thing in a mesh bag along with the other gear.
My bag only has one pocket on the front, not two like the current design. I will check to see if mine is 19 x 13.5. It may be slightly smaller.

Another vote for the ST bag. It holds my Mares Proton first and second with a pretty large Oceanic 3 pod console just fine. It's "just" big enough, and the hoses are not coiled too tight that I'm worried about storing my reg in it after letting everything dry properly.

I probably would have designed the velcro straps for securing the hose coils in a different way though. It's functional and gets the job done, but it's not an ideal configuration.
