Smile Delta 4

hey guys, got another question for ya'll...my sister and my father went to get certified about a year and a half ago, well pops panicked or something and didn't get his ow, this of course after they had bought all their equipment, since sis no longer has a dive buddy, she doesn't dive, soooooo she offered to sell me all the gear she has, most of it i know i won't use., but the one thing that caught my eye was the reg. Its an Oceanic Delta 4. she also has the octo and a female wetsuit, and dive knife, I don't know what else she has. but she is letting me have everything for 350$. Does anyone have any thoughts on the delta 4, I have seen new ones go for well above this amount, and read the stats on them, but i would like more personal reviews/ideas.

I have a Delta IV and have been very happy with it. At that price I would certainly consider picking up a second one.

thats what i was thinking, i can't really pass up the chance to pick it up at that price. plus all the extras, some i might use, some i might not, but if not i can always re-sell or donate to the lds for their OW classes.

excellent reg, can't go wrong.(good price too!). I've got Delta IV w/ FDX 10 1st stage.. love it, and i'm kinda picky about my air source. adjustable and reliable. I believe there was a recall issue about 1 1/2 to 2 years ago, make sure that's not an issue. I don't remember the particulars, but i'm sure ST could help you out. probably wouldn't hurt to have it serviced anyway..

The recall will be taken care of when you get it serviced. I personally like my Delta 4 but now that I have moved into the Tech-ish route and needed a sealed regulator. I haven't used it for a while. Overall I would say it was a great reg.

The Delta 4 and FDX-10 are an amazing package. I used mine in some pretty extreme water (cold - as in ice) and it performed great. I've since moved to the EOS with the FDX-10 but didn't want to get rid of the Delta 4 set I was using so they went to my 13 yo daughter...and I would not let her dive with something I did not trust.

I love mine to bits.
