Slinging pony with Zeagle Envoy Razor 1st stage

I looked through the old threads, and I couldn't find any info on people slinging a pony with an Envoy Razor 1st stage. I like the idea of using the Envoy Razor because it's so streamlined, but it looks to me like the top loop of a sling might interfere with the valve if it slid up at all. Anyone out there use this setup slung?

I'm not having any luck finding a pouch for anything over a 6cf bottle. Any ideas?

I would think that the valve knob and reg hose would keep the loop in place. Doesn't sound like a problem to me.

I should get my setup in the next few days, so I'll update this thread with my results after I whip up a sling. Thanks for the help

XS scuba sells several bag sizes. I noticed that Zeagle uses one on their web page so I figured they had them as well.

Do you mean these:
http://www.xsscuba.com/sp_ponybottle.html
Aren't those just for attaching to your main tank?

Yes. I bought one and hated it. Mine was a Trident though, so they may be a little different. I was never able to get the pony to mount securely. It flopped around too much, for lack of a better term.

Well that is what I get for not reading. You could probably sling the bag. BUT, Zeagle does make one. It is for a 20cft bottle though. Scroll down to about middle of the page with the pic of just the bottle...8079 tank bottle.
Why not use two hose clamps like most would use on the bottom of a bottle, put one at the top as well.

I did a little more digging about hose clamps and found this:
DIR-diver.com - Stagebottle rigging
I think that would work pretty well, and is cheap enough that I think I will give it a try. Thanks for the tip
