with Oceanic offering $100 instant rebate, and my gift certificate i still hadn't used from Christmas, i finally pulled the trigger and bought the EOS. Hopefully it lives up to the reviews i've read.

looks like the EOS won't make it in time for my Pensacola trip. ST was out of stock and they're waiting on more to arrive.

If I did ever have to rent gear, the regs would be the last thing I'd consider. I've seen the rental regs in the back of many scuba shops....scary sight. You just might be breathing someone elses puke.

I agree! Not my favorite piece of gear to rent. First on my list of things to buy.
Too bad that termop has the certificate or I'm sure someone would sell him one for the same price as ST.
