Old certification, new diver
I first got certified about 35 years ago and then again 4 years ago, and amazingly I have never taken a dive. But hurray, I'm off to Little Cayman in January and ready to buy my first reg. I plan on doing mostly warm water diving, nothing technical, relatively shallow, and because we are ocean challenged here in Colorado, I will be traveling by air.
Anyway, I looked at regs (less than $500) ratings on "Scuba Diving," compared some great prices on ST, and came up with this list: 1. Mares Prestige 32--$279 at ST 2. Tusa RS-530--$369 at ST 3. Zeagle Flathead VI--$349 at ST, or Zeagle Envoy deluxe --$342 at ST 4. Cressi Sub-Ellipse black /MC5--243 at Scuba.com 5. Oceanic Neo--$399 at ST After reading the forum, I'm leaning toward the Zeagle flathead, but any comments would be appreciated. I'm not interested in spending mega bucks, at least until I get some dives under my belt. Also any comments on the alternate? Thanks. |
