Honking regulators

What causes regulators to honk and how do you fix it?

If it's honks a liitle as you breathe while you are out of the water that is fairly normal. The diaphram makes the noise as air passes over it.

Harmonics and resonnance. One, a scubapro Mk7 is designed to honk when your gas supply gets low. Specific causes and cure depend on what regulator (brand, model, stage) you are talking about and under what conditions it occurs.
