I've seen the Aqualung offer of a free octopus with reg deal and started looking. I just wonder, and the LDS couldn't answer, nor does the catalog discuss, what is the difference between the Titan and Titan LX? does anybody know, and is it worth the extra expense.? I only do warm and tropical diving, I've never been diving in water below 78 degrees, and do not plan on starting.

From what I understand, the first stages are the same but the second stage on the LX is balanced and it is not on the Titan.I have tried both the Titan and the Titan LX and the LX breaths much better than the Titan. I would also suggest looking into the Titan LX Supreme. It is only a few dollars more and comes with a sealed first stage. I know you said that you only plan on warm water diving but I know a lot of people who stated this also who are now dry suit diving in 40* water. I believe the Supreme is only like 20 or 30 dollars extra. It is almost 100 dollars to add an enviomental kit at a later time (and this can only be done to the LX. The second stage on the Titan can not be tuned to the Supreme).

Tc-rain is right, they have different second stages. I can highly recommend the Titan LX. I've been diving with one for about 4 years now, and i still love it. With the free octo it is a great deal, too.

Titan LX is known as a simple, dependable breather that won't break the bank and breathes relatively well.

All things considered, the Titan LX and environmental kit, would it better to move up to the legend that already has the environmental kit?
