The Titan LX is a good reg, but for 140' it's ok, but you might want something a little better just based on the depth.
Unless your LDS will come off 20-30% off the MSRP list price of the Titan LX, I'd buy it from Leisure Pro. (I hate Aqualungs monopolistic list price only sales policy). You can buy from other manfacturers and not have that problem. |

My son and I use Titan LX regs and really like them. We got a good deal on the first/second stage + octo at our LDS. The regs tend to honk when they're dry, but breathe very smoothly under water. I don't get a lot of free-flow situations when I'm on the surface, like some of the others I've used. My only knock is that they are harder to breathe when you're looking sharply upward or are upside down. I don't know why this occurs, though.
I've tried a couple of other regs in my short diving career and the Titan breathes much better. The reviews are pretty good, too. I won't be at 140' any time soon, so I can't comment on that. |

I have the Titan LX and can’t say anything bad about it; however, if I had to buy a reg all over again I would have went with something a littler higher performing. My main problem with it is it is not environmentally sealed. If I were buying a reg again, I would seriously look at the Apex XTX200 or the Aqualung legend. They cost a little more but I would have chosen these over the Titan LX. Don’t get me wrong though, I have never had a problem with my Titan LX and it breaths really well. I have not had it at 140’ so I can’t speak on that but I would have no apprehensions taking it that deep.
