Oceanic Recall

Hi Guys - My LDS just called and said there is a recall on my Oceanic Reg (Because it was serviced within the last year) and I should absolutely not use it until it has been fixed.

Here is some more info:

Its about time, while I have not seen any issues with the FDX-10 first stage that comes w/ the Delta 4, I have seen many of the FDX-5s returned to my store. We test the LP before we sell any reg anyway, but it got to the point where i wouldnt let customers buy the FDX-5, and i still wont untill i here otherwise from oceanic.

Quick question, do you have to wait for your LDS to contact you or can you just take the 1st stage in. I just bought it Tues. and according to the Oceanic website mine needs to be done, that's about my luck...LOL.

They should. I had an issue with an authorized shop, contacted the rep, and he said he would be contacting the shop to discuss customer service with them. Oceanic is paying for the repairs, so the shops have ready money coming in for doing these repairs.

I see, thanks.
Well, with that kind of attitude, i'm just afraid they will just ruin the reg, instead of making it better...

The good part is that if you have a problem, you contact the rep, and they will deal with the dealer. Oceanic takes customer service very seriously, and if a dealer is not treating customers well, the reps will set them straight.
