I was wondering how hard it is to convert a din to yoke? In other words, is this something I can learn to do by myself or do I have to have my LDS do it everytime I want to switch? Where can I learn to perform this swap? I'd love to be able to do this myself so I can switch it up to suit my diving needs at a moments notice.
While you certainly CAN do it, I would recommend having your LDS do it for you first, and make sure to request that you be allowed to watch the procedure so you can do it yourself in the future.

That said, they're not designed to flip back and forth frequently. Generally you should pick one and stick to it, with only occasional returns to the other form. For instance, dive DIN all the time locally, but flip it to yoke for one or two 2+ week vacations per year. I wouldn't want to flip it regularly, or more than a couple of times per year. I dive DIN locally, but for one or two trips per year (and only if they're more than a week, else I don't bother), I'll flip it to Yoke to make things simpler.

If you're planning to dive mostly yoke, but flip it to DIN on a semi-regular basis to dive tanks that need DIN, I'd seriously reconsider your plans.

Thanks for the advice Compudude. This is something I'll have to think about.
