Can anyone comment on the practicality of the Apollo Bio-Filter Moisture System? Is it worth the $150? Should I be worrying water / moisture sipping into the first stage or corrosion problems?

Thanks in advance.

Actually, I used to get heartburn so bad - I nearly gave up diving all together. One day I borrowed larrys reg because I was in the middle of rebuilding mine - and he had one of those on it. Changed my life.
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>The moisture instantly stopped the dry mouth problem - and it also stopped my heart burn. They actually work - are an amazing product, and no problem about the moisture going into the 1st stage... you have pressure going the other way, and it's not like a bucket of water in there... it's a wet sponge.</DIV>
<DIV></DIV>
<DIV>I tell you what - you get one from us - try it on your next trip - if you don't like it, I'll give you a full refund - even used. Then we'll put it on a rental reg for people to try.... but my money is on you'll keep it.</DIV>

Ill Take 20!

OK OK, all fun aside. These things are great. I have one and love it. There are certain things I can and cannot deal without, this is one of those comforts I don't like to live without.

Yea, I feel for you. I don't get heartburn, but the dry mouth is really off putting. Ok, I'm taking one. I'm getting an Atom 2.0 from you, too. I'm compiling a list, expect to hear from me VERY soon

No, but most of the people that use them say they are DIC, (doing it comfortable.)

I've never used one, and probably never will, but that's only because I haven't had any problem that would want me to use it. I do get al ittle dry mouth, but I'd probably carry a water bottle with meinstead (cheaper). However, if it works, use it! I'm actually glad to read Joe's review, because I haven't heard glowing reviews before. Most people I've heard talk about it don't own one, and think it's stupid to own one. Reviews from people who own them are what is most important!

That said, the wet sponge, can you just rewet it, or do you have to buy the pre-wet part from Apollo? And, can it be installed with household tools? Will there be corrosion problems from dissimilar metals?
