Question Seacure mouthpiece

Thinking of getting these for my Apeks ATX regs. Does anyone else use them?

I got one, and I love it. The only complaint I have is that it's a pretty hard piece of plastic once formed. I'd like them a little better if they could come up with a softer compound.

arnt those the ones that you make a bite impression on to better fit your mouth? the only thing I have against it is if you donate your reg in an ooa or even in drills its kind of difficult for another person to use it , plus if you let someone use your gear it may be uncomfortable to them too, the latter may not be such a big issue to you though

I tried one but didn't like it. I seem to favor the softer silicon mouthpieces.

Now many people like them and if your looking to find something better then a plain mouthpiece give it a try. The cost is small compared to a reg and you can't price comfort.

If someone needs air, they're getting my octo anyway, so that really shouldn't matter (depending on how you're rigged).
Plus, I don't foresee loaning out my regs. Why would you need to?

Until the OOA person rips the reg right out of your mouth.

Never tried one but will as soon as I need a new one.

Got it, and love it. It's just a mouthpiece, but it's one of my favorite pieces of accessory gear. It increases my personal comfort dramatically every time I dive.

As for air sharing, if you have nothing to breathe and someone hands you a reg that's delivering air, I'm willing to bet you aren't going to criticize the feel of the mouthpiece that's saving your sorry butt. Much less so if you jerked it out of someone's mouth.

Forgive me if providing the victim with luxurious pampering isn't at the top of my priority list when performing a rescue. I say if you don't like my reg, by all means feel free to hold your breath until another donor meets your exacting standards. What's important to me is how my primary reg feels in my mouth, not in yours.

I use them on all my regs, including my stage bottle regs, with the exception of one regulator - the one I donate in an OOA situation. That means my octopus when diving a single tank configuration, or my long hose when diving doubles.
