Reg for Pony & please give me info on my current regs last question
Sorry for reposting this but it got real low on the "recent post" list and I was afraid it would not be seen. I could really use some advise. Diving in Lake MI. in 40 - 45 degree water.
Ok, I am leaning in the direction of one of these two: Mares Rebel 12 Nitrox Mares Rebel 12 Nitrox Regulator , Regulators, Mares, Mares Rebel 12 Nitrox Regulator Dacor Trainer Pro Regulator Dacor Trainer Pro Regulator, Regulators, Dacor, Dacor Trainer Pro Regulator Any observations on these two? Also, I currently have a U.S. Divers Select 1st stage, a U.S. Diver Octo, and a Scubapro R390 2nd. I would appreciate any info you have on any of these regs. I am planning on still using the Octo on my main tank so I will have 3 2nd's. Would you use the new 1st on the main or the pony? Which second would you use on the main and which on the pony?

I used a MR12 for pony and deco bottles up until recently. The second was either a Vortex or Proton. The MR12 is a great little reg and the proton was good enough. The only reason I sold them off was because I consolidated by gear all to Atomics so I could service everything myself.
My preference is to have gear all from the same mfg. so that I can minimize my spare parts. |

I don't know anything about any of those regs, but I honestly wouldn't hesitate to dive using them in any of those configurations. I'm sure that they'll be fine, so long as they're well maintained and you take precautions against free flow.
