I just saw my 1st MIFLEX hose.

I was at my LDS today, and he showed me the new Aqua Lung Micron regulator. But what he was really showing me was the new type of hose. I had heard about these, but didn't really give them much thought.

But after looking at this hose, I think I'm going to be investing (It feels better to call it an investment) in some new hoses. This new hose is called MiFlex. It's a braided hose that's 40% lighter, and much more flexible than a standard rubber hose. Right now it's only going to be available in LP, I don't know if or when there will be a HP hose. It's distributed by XS-Scuba, so I'll bet they will be available from ST sometime this spring.

Just thought I'd add a note to the beginning of this post to let you know we've got them heading to our store: Miflex Regulator Hose , No Category, XS Scuba, Miflex Regulator Hose

I read in another thread on another board they are working on a HP version. They didn't think it would be out this year though.

What I meant was that XS-Scuba is the distributor for the LP hose, and that ST would probably have these this spring. Not that the hp hose would be available. Sorry for the confusion. My HS english teacher would have counted off for that.

I really want a set of these hoses. Especially a "glow-in-the-dark yellow" hose.

I'm going to wait for Compudude's review before I make a purchase though, or until ST carries them.

Hope they come out with a HP hose soon. Those would be great for stages.

From what I've read, don't expect it soon. If we're lucky, the end of the year... if we're not, next year or not at all.
