Scuba Diving Tube Intro

We are working with a new site: Scuba Diving Videos- which will allow folks to upload and view scuba diving videos. While still in Beta.. there is some work to do as far as fine tuning the software and working on the categories, etc... but if there are any scuba videos you'd like to upload.. please go over there, sign up and start posting!

If all works well, this forum should grab new videos and create a new post for each one from the RSS feed... But again... Beta, and it might take a bit for us to get all this working.

No, it's really about the same. All depends on how good the initial quality is, but they are compressed and converted into flash flv files for band width and speed of streaming.

Exactly... When I head to those sites... it's really hard to find what I'm looking for. I've been wanting to produce some little videos on equipment tips and information... things like "A primer on Tank Valves", "How to thread a cam latch" "How to thread a weight belt buckle" "How to change a battery on this computer.."

Questions we get from customers and I try to walk them through it on the phone... but being able to show a video would make it so much easier - and then I can set up the categories for the different things I want to cover.

I realize it's not earth shattering, or gloriously original - but I thought it would make a nice extension of the forum here, and with the ability to have the RSS feed update this forum automatically when a new video gets added - I thought it might be fun.

Gives members a place close to home where they can post their video of a trip, then when it auto starts the thread (which it does about 20 minutes after the upload) they can go in and add comments here so the other members can learn about their dive, equipment, experiences, etc.
