OK i found out what it is.

It is a Nomura's Jellyfish.

It lives off of the coast of Japan, and thier population has had a huge spike recently.

It's sting isn't deadly, but it can cause pulmonary epidema (buildup of fluid in the lungs), and lead to death.
There have been 9 reported deaths so far.

And this guy stuck his hand anywhere near it why. I mean I will do a lot to get the shot but seriously. If you watch the end of the clip he does bring his hand behind the top of the jelly which If I remember my oceanography classes. And several painful stings is usually where the tendrils with poison live. Come on buddy get a longer lens! On another note how big a fish or mammal ie. Human could a jelly that size consume?

That thing is HUGE.
I hate getting anywhere near jellyfish. And where there is one, there are more. MANY more.

From a local dive shop, I heard that benadryl works for jellyfish stings. And this was from someone talking from experience.

Yeah but not quick enough usually takes 20 minutes or so to take effect by then you will definatly be gald it stopped. But it will still not feel great, especially because this species can potentially kill you.

DAN advises:
"For all minor jellyfish stings, it's advisable to immerse the injured area in hot water (113degrees) or a hot shower for 30-90 min or until pain subsides. Do not rub the area, and get prompt medical attention."

i wonder what they would say about this size jellyfish!

"For all major jellyfish stings, well... call an ambulance!"
