How about trying to fold the LP hose to prevent/slow down the air? Do you tihnk that's doable?

Man, this is calling for another video :-)
The bottom line is, don't cut your LP hose.

If you had doubles and an isolation valve, you'd have to be quick to cut it off before it blead both tanks... scary thought.

Wow... that was neat!

I've either missed it or its obvious...

The LP hose went faster because it was larger ID, correct?

The LP hose was quicker because the fitting at the first stage has a larger ID than on the HP hose. The video showed the HP fitting with it's much smaller opening.

if low pressure hosed empties a tank under minute, should there be a reducer fitting on the bc/drysuit inflater hoses. Would reducing the output affect the overall performance?

Ahh.... ok. I missed that somehow. Are the hoses the same same ID, it just comes down the 1st stage fitting? Thanks.

If u look at the regulator HP hole u will see that it also has a very small opening as well as the hose side. double insurance?

So here's another question. On newer regulators the HP hose is a different thread size as well, where as on older regs both hp and LP hoses have the same size thread. Why?

ps. I know the answer as I've witnessed it on one of the older Calypso !V regs once.
