Well that's certainly a given (why else would she have a vlog where she talks about this stuff while wearing a swimsuit?). The point worth reiterating though, is that "trust me, you'll thank me later" remains a poor motivational tactic for non-divers.

The truth is that my wife doesn't dive and doesn't have the desire to learn so I don't push the issue. Do I wish she dove? Definitely, but not enough to try to push her unnecessarily.

Yup. I spotted that, too. She hosts a regular vlog. That makes her a little overly something by definition. It was entertaining, though.

Some day, if my wife's back doctor clears her, I hope to get my wife certified. If she does, she'll strictly be a www. But that's ok... at least we can enjoy the pretty stuff together, and leave the local challenges to me!

I saw this one before, wasn't that impressed with it. I don't know what's off, but I think she's just doing it to draw attention to herself.

Of course, you can say that about most vid's there.

My wife has about the same attitude as she does. I've asked my wife a few times, but she would rather lay on the beach and tan. It's weird because she loves to snorkle, she just doesn't want to take the next step I guess.

Very un-likely that someone who had to be nearly "forced" into an OW class would sign up for a dive trip be themselves and be on a boat "buddyless". It is almost certain that if she were ever on a dive boat it would be with that person who made here take the class.

have you ever had her do a "Try Scuba" experience? My Mom and Dad did one about a month ago - granted it was only in a pool due to weather conditions - my Dad is ready and my Mom is now halfway convinced she might like to get certified - am sure it would only be - as Compu put it "she'll strictly be a www" - but it is something that my parents could do together while on vacation.

Exactly my situation. My wife thinks anywhere in the ocean = sharks and eels, and eels = snakes, and she's deathly afraid of all of them. I can't even get her to watch my Sharkwater dvd. She has no desire to dive, and that's good because I really don't want to have to save her the first time she panics. It would totally ruin it for both of us.

On a side note, that girl in the video is really annoying. She seems like a real attention hound.

Too funny!! I took this video to be a total spoof, and thought she was pretty hilarious. (And if you think about it, not far off the mark with some of her descriptions!)

But then I was a 'coerced' wife that was bugged for months & months to get certified. (Loved water, just thought I was too old!) 250+ dives later, I'm glad he pushed me to give it a shot!

She reminds me of Sarah Silverman, who is, IMO, one of the most annoying, unfunny human beings on the planet.
