Wow, that is so cool. I never really thought about diving in quarries until I took the online open water. It just seems so mysterious, but that is probably because I have been around salt water my whole life. Thanks!

Haigh Quarry is a great dive but the place is getting pretty crowded on the weekends. Only living a little more than an hour away means we dive it frequently. Have tried weekdays, yet but I think it certainly worth playing hooky for an afternoon to head to Kankakee

that's an amazing freshwater video! i've never seen so many freshwater fish so comfortable around divers!

is that fish with the weird nose some type of sturgeon?

That fish is a Paddlefish.
Paddlefish - frequently asked questions

You don't see that fish too often during a dive.
Last year I did over 20 dives at the Haigh and only had seen it on 2 dives.
