Destin offers a large number of dive sites, some are visited by charters and some arn't. The sites that are not visited regularly by charters tend to be further off shore but are easily available by personal boat.
The "Main Stack" is one of several rubble locations. On these reefs you'll usually find everything from grunts and baracuda to shrimp and crabs. Visibility in Destin is usually in the 80 -100+ foot range, however storms and rough seas can drop it to near zero. In the winter I'd suggest a 5mm full suit, while in the summer a 3mm shorty or a dive skin will be fine.
