Dive Computer "Protector Sleeve"

Hi all,

I was in my LDS this afternoon wanting to discuss masks when I saw the (for want of a better term) Protector Sleeve of a Suunto D/C.

Is there anyone that makes a generic protector sleeve? I have a Mares MC2 and considering what I paid for it, I think that I should get it "protected"!! If there is nothing out there, I am going to challenge the SO to help me make one.

Thanks

A soft thick sock and a pelican/otterbox or other hard case would do the trick quite nice

Akona makes a sleeve. Comes with their regulator bags, but you may be able to buy them separately.

I have three, since I have three Akona reg bags. I don't own any consoles. I'd sell 'em if someone wanted, but it's probably barely worth the postage.

Akona Console Sleeve , Dive Bags, Akona, Akona Console Sleeve

Akona AKB-604 Regulator Bag

I bought an Armor reg bag similar to the one in Compudude's pic. That is where mine stays until I get on the boat. Is what you are talking about something that you would keep it in even on the boat or is it just for storage/transport?

I think mine works well with protecting my wrist computer, the only problem is it comes with something else in it that has to be disposed of first!

I use the Akona sleeve jus like the one in CompuDudes' photo. As a matter of fact, my last one came up "missing" on my last trip to Coz. so I'm on my second. 7 bucks I think, from ST. Inexpensive protection.

I have always used a thick men's athletic sock. I did get a protective sleeve with my akona reg bag......hmmm.

Great minds think alike. I actually keep me goggles in the same bag.
