Want to play? Think we can come up with

100 things you've witnessed that are NOT cool for divers to do?

above and below the surface

1. Sitting on a coral formation for a cheesy photo to show your
friends at home.

omg- so many
during my advanced open water dives a guy just completely abandoned his buddy in a low visibility quarry during underwater navigation

while on vaca in January I saw a lady go in with no exposure suit and 20 lbs of weight, and she kept banging into the coral

also on vaca- this guy kept swimming over top of me and flipping me in the face with his fins= after about the third time I turned around to my hubby-buddy, sat in the sand, crossed my arms and went HMPH!

well I witnessed some divers doin alot of things they probably shouldn't have been doing, or rather what one might consider as "uncool"

but that had nothing to do with their diving skills or reputation

aaargggg! !!!!! this isn't that complicated
here goes numbers

4. dropping gear bag on a fully loaded(with cameras) camera table on
dive boat.
5. diver getting loaded rum punch party night, and proceeds to crash into a
waiter, with a fully loaded tray of the punch... waste of good punch
6. diver gets mad at a donkey nip, and punches it
7. diver grabbing a turtle and holding it for yet another photo (they're
air breathing, remember)

So, whos got #8?

8. A group of divers with no deep or tec training surfacing from a quarry dive and proudly claiming that they hit 150' and the next says "I win...151".

9. Taking a very new diver on such a dive.

nah, when your head is empty all the nitrogen gathers there instead of in your joints.

10. A diver who proudly exclaims that he doesn't need a computer or tables as he "knows" when he is nearing his NDLs. (expert with less than 20 dives-the rest of us are scarred woosies.) Funny, never heard from him after that-seems he may have taken solo diving as no one wanted to buddy with him.
