Crystal Clear Water in Central Mississippi?

There is a mud bottom lake about 12 ft deep full of tree stumps near Jackson, MS. Every other lake in the state has no more than 10 ft of vis, however, this one is as clear as a Florida spring. Does anyone know what would cause the water to be so clear?

its not spring fed. i wonder if there is some pollutant or if the ph level of the water might prevent algae.
