The cenotes in Mexico had the best viz I've seen (unless you were in the halocline). Cozumel was also pretty much as far as the eye could see. The worst was a shore dive I did recently at the back bay in Belmar (Jersey Shore). I could see the bottom if I was six inches from it, but not much further. The only way to stay with my buddy was touch contact since one fin kick and they were lost. It was a very enjoyable dive, just meant that your world at any given time was really small.

The best....I am still looking but I know the worst was in a lake and it was right around 2 feet. It got worse as we passed where divers had already stirred it up.

You must have caught Palau on a bad day

For many, Palau is the dive of a lifetime. You may want to try that one again. Concerning the jellyfish; if they aren't the nasty, stinging kind, that would be awe-inspiring.
Are Pulau Tinggi & Palau different places?

I would love to dive Palau...but for now Cozumel has the best viz I've seen. Worst-Lake Tenkiller...couldn't see my fins!
yeah, pulau tinggi and Palau are different places.

Pulau Tinggie is an island off the coast of Malaysia, and Palau is an independent country south east of the philippines.

Worst - June 1 @ Mermet (hopefully it gets better this summer) - about 3 to 5 feet

Best was last August in Islamorada, 80 to 100 feet most days - worst was about 60 I think

Best: 100+ feet at the wreck of the Naeco off NC. Worst: probably 2 feet inside a wreck after a silt-out.
