Did anyone dive a U-Boat wreck off the US Coast?
There seem to be a few within reach of AOW divers - U-85, U-352, U-701
I watched a documentary on them yesterday and did a bit of research... List is here, with some pictures uboat.net - Fates - Dive into History Did anyone go down to see them? |

I've dove the U-352 last year. To me, the dive was more interesting because of the historical value than the actual dive itself. It looked like a sub that had been in the water for 60 or 70 years. There are alot of wrecks off the coast here that are more interesting dives.
If I recall correctly, we saw some sand-tiger sharks (always see them) and I 'm pretty sure that was the first time I saw a lionfish. I haven't dove all the wrecks here, but I'm working on it!! |
