Tell us about your 100th dive

I notice my next dive will be my 100th. I'm scheduled to dive the Rosin Wreck out of Wilmington, NC at the end of this month, but not sure I want to wait that long.

Anyone care to tell about their 100th dive (or 1000th or 50th or other 'significant' milestone)? Did you celebrate in anyway? Or did it just pass you by unnoticed?

My 100th dive was at Ginnie Springs in FL. I had been working towards getting ready for cave training for 9 months, and I was finally there doing it for real. This was my second day of diving on the trip, and I was loving every seond of it. I mentioned to my instructor that it was my 100th dive, so we took a break from training and did one long beautiful fun dive. It was one of the best moments I can remember ever---I've loved the water since I was a kid, and this was everything I've loved my whole life, and all the training I'd done to that point coming together in one magical moment.

Enjoy your 100th. I'm sure you'll remember it with it being your first deco dive.

Nothing special to me, just another dive a longtime ago.

My hundredth was a rainy spring night. I had planned ahead, and invited all of the instructors I had worked with to that point. One dove with me, and one stopped by the site, and another came for the dinner afterward. For the man who dove with me, it was his 1400th dive, so I had a cake that said "Happy 1500" served after our celebration dinner. It was fun.

The dive itself was not particularly memorable, but the evening was.
